Visiting Elden Pueblo
Finding Elden Pueblo - A Public Archaeology Site Elden Pueblo is located just northeast of Flagstaff on Highway 89
Go northeast from Flagstaff as if going to Lake Powell and Page, Arizona.
Watch for this sign on the west side of the highway.
You can leave your car in this parking lot.
There is a brief walk along this casual and well-maintained pathway.
Your first view of Elden Pueblo is this view directly into the main community room.
At this point you become aware that Elden Pueblo is a "work in progress." It is an actual archaeological site that is open to the public, with many public and school educational opportunities.The rooms are being "stabilized" for safety and research.
You may find brochures and self guided tour information that invites you to turn left and view the various features that are in front of you. Here is that map:
The Self Guided Tour:
You begin this tour at station one, in front of the large community room as indicated in the photo above. Then follow the pathclockwise to these points.
